Global SDG Youth Summit 2025 Brings Together 267 Young Changemakers in Dhaka

The Global SDG Youth Summit 2025 was held on 24 and 25 September 2025 at the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB), co-organized by the Bangladesh APFSD Youth Alliance (BAYA) and Youth For Change Bangladesh Foundation (YFC-BD) as part of the Empower Change: Creating Safe Space & Advancing Gender Equality (ECSAGE) project, with support from Agence Française de Développement (AFD).

The two-day national-level summit brought together 267 youth participants from across the country, 158 male, 107 female, and 2 of other genders, and featured 6 panel discussions with 26 panelists, 3 abstract presenters, and 12 innovators working across the field of youth development. Sessions spanned civic space, climate action, sexual and reproductive health rights, and gender equality, giving young delegates a platform to present research, share innovations, and engage directly with policymakers and development partners.

The summit reinforced BYC's broader coalition-building work, connecting youth-led organizations with government bodies, UN agencies, and international NGOs around shared priorities for gender-equal, youth-centered development in Bangladesh.
